This alloy combines the corrosion resistance of nickel with the high strength of iron and molybdenum. The discs themselves have uniform thickness and a mirror-smooth surface, ideal for thin film deposition via sputtering. Applications include decorative coatings, diffusion barriers and electrical contacts requiring excellent wear resistance.
