How to Order
You can order from Goodfellow in the following ways:
Online:
1. Using the Goodfellow website 'Products' menu at the top of the page:
- Within the products pages you will be able to search for our standard products and save them to your shopping cart
- To proceed to the checkout you will need to be logged in
2. Using the Goodfellow website account 'Order History' option on the account menu to base on previous orders
Telephone:
Speak to one of our customer services agents by using the available numbers on our contact us page.
If you can't find what you are looking for in the catalog, or would like a larger quantity than that listed, please contact us.
Save as Quote
How to Save Your Web Order as a Quote and Create a PDF Quote Request
You are now able to save your web order as a 'save for later' quote from Goodfellow. This feature also allows you to download a PDF quote, valid for 30 days, that you can use to create a PO or submit to your purchasing department for approval.
How to save a quote:
- Once you have added your product to your basket you can view your basket via the basket icon in the navigation header
- You can now proceed to the checkout
- Here is where you are able to confirm your delivery and invoice address. You will also now see the option to 'Save as Quote' just underneath the Submit Order button
- Click this and you will see the 'Saved Quote' success message and also receive an email confirming your quote has been saved. Congratulations, you have successfully saved your order as a quote*
How to Review Your Saved Quotes
- To review your saved quotes and download a PDF for your purchasing department records, you will need to navigate to the 'Saved Quotes' option from the navigator header. This will take you to a page that lists all of your previously saved quotes
- You can expand any quote using the arrow, this will show you a full breakdown of the quote and give you the option to print the PDF by clicking on the PDF icon. You can now use this to raise a PO with your purchasing teams or to keep for your records
- When you are happy to proceed to checkout, just click the 'Add to Basket' button and this will create a fresh basket from those items. You can always edit the basket further at this stage too if you wish to adjust the quantity
- You can also add any PO numbers or order reference here to further help with delivery and accounts
- You can now check out as normal and your order will soon be on its way

Prices and Extra Charges
There are over 170,000 stock packs listed and if you cannot find what you need amongst them, please ask for special sizes, thicknesses, tolerances, dimensions or larger quantities. We are also able to offer many other pure metals, alloys, polymers and ceramics to special order.
All prices listed are total (lot) prices for the sizes and quantities listed.
Additional Charges
Prices shown include free delivery except for those items marked as "special offer". Prices are subject to change without notice and orders will be invoiced at prices ruling on the date of dispatch.
Delivery
Delivery by door-to-door courier service (UPS or FedEx) is included in the prices, although alternative methods may be used depending on the materials ordered.
Some of the materials supplied by Goodfellow are subject to special transport restrictions. If you intend to have the material transported or sent onwards please ensure that you are aware of the relevant transport restrictions.
Split Shipment
All orders are accepted for one shipment on one date to one address. A charge will be made for split shipments made at the customer's request.
Special Analysis/Supports/Tolerances
An extra charge is made for non-standard supports, alternative tolerances, and certificates of analysis. The analysis is free of charge for items marked "High Purity".
Cancellations
A charge for cancelation of orders may be made. The amount will depend on the circumstances.
Express Service
If you require your order to be handled as urgent, please advise us at the time of your order. A handling fee will be added, the value of which will depend on the destination and can be selected or deselected at the check-out stage of ordering online. For telephone orders, this will be advised when ordering.
Any priority handling fee or "Rush Charge" does not guarantee that the order will be dispatched on the same day. However, it will place the order at the front of the packing queue. The time taken to dispatch an order will depend on material preparation requirements prior to shipment.
Restricted Delivery Charges

Hazardous Material Charges
Some products in our catalog, indicated by a Hazardous Materials warning, are eligible for a surcharge. Surcharges will be point of order or please contact us for more information. Please see the table below for details on how these charges are applied in your territory. These charges are automatically added to your order at the checkout. Prices exclude local taxes.

Returns and Claims
Returns
We will only accept return of goods provided we are contacted BEFORE the goods are returned. When we agree to the return we will issue a Goods Return Number and give instructions for the method of return of the goods. Goods will not be accepted for return without a valid Goods Return Number.
Claims
Great care is taken during manufacture and packing and all items are carefully inspected before shipment. Any claim in respect of short delivery, incorrect material or defective quality must be notified to us in writing within two weeks of delivery. Please retain ALL packaging for our inspection. Our liability for such claim shall not exceed the cost of replacement of the goods free of charge, or crediting the customer with the invoice value thereof.
Goods Ordered in Error
We do not accept responsibilty for customers' errors in ordering. The amount of credit for returned goods will be at our discretion. Where we accept returned goods a restocking charge will be made.
Contracts and Laws
Condition of Sale
All orders, contracts and quotations are subject to our standard conditions of sale. Information and statements provided are indicative only and do not form part of any offer or contract.
Law
Contracts between Goodfellow and the customer shall be deemed to be subject in all respects to English law unless otherwise agreed in writing.

Shipping and Handling
Shipment
We aim to have all items listed in this catalog in stock in the quantities and sizes listed. We can only undertake to dispatch an order on a particular date. The date of delivery at the customer's address is subject to the normal variations of the delivery service used.
Method of Delivery
The method of delivery is selected in order to give safe and rapid delivery; we normally use a door-to-door courier service although alternative methods may be used depending on the materials ordered.
Dispatch
Orders will normally be dispatched within 48 hours of receipt on in stock catalog items. Customized products and materials may be subject to a longer lead time.
Restricted Articles
Some of the items in the catalog are subject to transport restrictions. This should be considered if the item is to be onward shipped.
Non Delivery
If we have notified you of dispatch of goods and you have not received them within 7 working days, please contact us.
Insurance
All consignments will be insured by us against the usual risks unless we are instructed in writing to the contrary.
Export Restrictions
A UK Government export license may be required for some items to some destinations. If the item you require needs a special export license or an end-use statement we will inform you at the time you order.
Materials Handling
Many of our materials are extremely delicate and it is essential every care is taken when handling them. Special attention is drawn to the extreme fragility of thin films, coated thin films, and thinner and finer materials.
All materials are carefully packed to ensure safe transport of goods to your address. We do not accept responsibility for damage caused by mishandling once the outer transit packaging has been removed.

Export
All exports to countries outside of the EU are zero-rated for UK VAT.
EU
Customers registered for VAT who provide their local registration number will not be charged UK VAT. Customers who are exempt from VAT will not be charged UK VAT provided we are given a copy of their exemption form at the time the goods are ordered. Customers not registered for VAT or who fail to give us their registration number will be charged UK VAT at the current rate.
Terms of Payment and Methods
Our terms of payment are pro-forma until an order history is established. Payment can be made by credit card or bank transfer.
When a credit account is agreed, our terms of payment are 30 days from invoice date. We kindly ask that payment is made on time to avoid delays on future orders and/or the account going back on pro-forma. Accounts which remain unpaid beyond their due date may occur an interest charge per month.
