Kapton® HN Polyimide Disk

Kapton® HN Polyimide Disk is a high-performance polymer material known for its exceptional dielectric strength, mechanical durability, and stability across extreme temperature ranges. Composed primarily of poly(4,4′-oxydiphenylene pyromellitimide), it exhibits outstanding chemical resistance and retains structural integrity under thermal cycling from cryogenic conditions to over 400 °C. Its isotropic electrical insulation performance, combined with excellent resistance to radiation and environmental degradation, makes it a standard in aerospace, electronics, and scientific instrumentation. Typical applications include insulation for high-voltage components in spacecraft, substrates for flexible circuitry, and precision gaskets in vacuum systems.
