Platinum/Iridium Alloy Spooled Wire (Pt70/Ir30)
Platinum/Iridium Alloy Spooled Wire (Pt70/Ir30) is a wire product offered by Goodfellow in their range of precious metal wires. This alloy wire combines the hardness and strength of iridium with the high corrosion resistance and stability of platinum. With excellent high temperature properties and resistance to chemical attack, these Pt/Ir alloy wires find use in applications like thermocouples, electrical contacts, and glass manufacturing electrodes operating at high temperatures. The spooled packaging allows for customized wire lengths to be conveniently accessed for prototyping and production.
