Carbon Fabric Sizes from Goodfellow is a woven textile material made from carbon fibers with the weave made by warp (longitudinal) yarns (ends) passing over and under alternate weft (transverse) yarns (picks) and vice-versa. It exhibits high strength and stiffness along with low weight and density. It’s valued for applications requiring rigid, lightweight structures. Laminates based on this have high tensile, compressive and flexural strength, and are very stiff. Carbon fabric is used to reinforce composite materials in the aerospace, automotive, and sporting goods industries. With over 20 variations, Goodfellow offers carbon fabrics tailored to diverse engineering requirements, from general purpose cloths to ultra-high modulus foils.
