3000C Glassy Carbon (RVC) Filament is part of Goodfellow's range of carbon filaments. It is made from a high-purity isotropic carbon that has been heat treated to over 3000°C resulting in a non-graphitizing carbon with high hardness and strength. This filament is suitable for use in high-temperature furnace components and heating elements due to its thermal shock resistance and low reactivity. With a high degree of open porosity, it is also suitable for electrodes in electrochemical applications.
