Vectra® B130 30% Reinforced Glass Fiber LCP Rod delivers the B-series liquid crystal polymer chemistry with 30% glass for maximum stiffness, low thermal growth, and excellent retention of properties in hot, compact assemblies. Compared with many engineering plastics, B130 offers extremely low coefficient of thermal expansion and shrinkage, high limiting oxygen index, and a balance of mechanical and electrical traits that suits dense electronics and high-duty mechanisms. Aerospace and transportation electronics, precision drives, and industrial controls use B130 for rigid standoffs and brackets, coil and bobbin structures that resist deformation through solder-level heat, and small housings that must hold threads and torque without creep. The rod form supports quick machining for trials, then transitions to molding for volume with similar behavior. For engineers and researchers building reliable, space-constrained hardware, B130 rod provides a robust, halogen-free route to thin, strong, dimensionally stable parts.
