Vectra® A950 LCP Rod is an unfilled, high-purity liquid crystal polymer stock shape for precision parts that need thin-section strength, electrical insulation, and excellent chemical resistance without glass or mineral reinforcement. The base polymer’s high flow and inherent flame performance support compact geometries with fine features, while very low moisture pickup and low outgassing help parts remain dimensionally steady and electronics-friendly. Aerospace, medical devices (non-implant), and analytical equipment use A950 for insulating spacers, micro-mechanical carriers, valve seats, and lightweight housings near heat sources or solvents. Because it is unreinforced, the rod machines cleanly and leaves smooth sealing surfaces, and it can translate directly to extrusion or molding when designs scale. In research, it enables fast prototyping of delicate features; in production it offers consistent processing and cleanliness. Overall, A950 rod provides a versatile, halogen-free path to stable, high-performance LCP components.
