PET Coil Metallized with 20 nm Aluminum combines moderate visible reflectivity (~85–90%) with low emissivity, making it suitable for optical, thermal, and barrier applications in engineering and specialty systems. PET Metallized Film consists of polyester film coated with a thin layer of aluminum to make it reflective while still retaining the polyester's strength and flexibility. The uniform, extremely thin (20 nm) aluminum layer offers limited surface conductivity (~8–12 Ω/sq), supporting its use in reflective barriers, optical shielding, and calibration targets within cryogenic or vacuum setups. In laboratory and research environments, the film’s low outgassing and chemical resistance enable integration into UV-VIS and IR spectroscopic systems and cleanroom-encapsulated assemblies. These aluminized PET films are useful for aerospace, microelectronics, and materials science workflows where optical reliability and consistent surface behavior are critical.
