Waspaloy® Foil (Light Tight)

Waspaloy® Foil (Light Tight) applies the same high-temperature superalloy to a pinhole free thin sheet engineered for optical, sensing, and vacuum builds that must block stray light as well as survive heat and oxidation. The dense, defect-free surface seals cleanly against frames and fasteners, enabling compact baffles, masks, and wrap-around shields that hold alignment and light integrity through thermal cycling and maintenance. Aerospace optics, high-energy laboratories, and process instrumentation deploy the foil where painted baffles would burn, outgas, or shed particulates, and where polymer films lose stiffness near hot zones.
