Permendur® 49 Foil - T 0.35mm 10mm x 10mm

Details

SKU: 1000042879 Product Code: CO15-SH-000135
Permendur® 49 Foil delivers the same soft-magnetic behavior in a thin, conformable sheet for tape-wound cores, precision shields, and laminated parts. When properly annealed, the alloy reaches very high permeability with low coercivity, allowing compact cores that magnetize easily and dissipate less energy in service. Converters slit and wind the foil into toroids and C-cores for sensors, current transformers, and control magnets, or laminate it into multi-layer shields that conform to tight spaces around electronics. The smooth, consistent strip tracks well through winding and bonding steps, and its clean chemistry suits aerospace and instrumentation where contamination control is essential. Because properties are process-sensitive, the foil is often hydrogen-annealed after forming to achieve the desired magnetic response, then handled to avoid stress that could raise losses. For R&D teams it supports rapid iteration of core geometry and thickness; in production it yields efficient, low-noise magnetic components that meet weight and size targets.
