Indium/Tin Alloy Foil (Light Tight) (In50/Sn50) is a foil product within Goodfellow's extensive range of metal alloy foils. This foil alloy combines the ductility and malleability of indium with the hardness and strength of tin. With a melting point of 120°C, this low-temperature solder foil is useful for making thermally sensitive joints in electronics and optical devices. The light-blocking properties of this opaque silver-white foil also make it suitable as a radiation shield in photosensitive instruments and photovoltaic cells. With its unique material properties, indium/tin alloy expands the applications of metal foils.
