Gold Plated Copper/Beryllium Alloy Spooled Wire (Cu98/Be 2) is a product within Goodfellow's extensive range of wires. With 45 variations available, this wire combines the high strength and spring properties of beryllium copper with the excellent conductivity and corrosion resistance of a thin gold plating. Example applications include low-resistance electrical connections, springs, and lead wires where durability, flexibility, and conductivity are required. The gold plating provides oxidation resistance while the beryllium copper core offers mechanical strength.
