Flexible Graphite Carbon Foil (Light Tight) is a dense, low-porosity form of exfoliated graphite foil engineered for complete opacity to light and exceptional hermetic sealing performance. Produced via high-pressure compression and thermal treatment, this foil combines high thermal conductivity, chemical inertness, and mechanical flexibility, while eliminating any optical transmissivity. It is extensively employed in optical systems requiring total light isolation, such as photodetector housings, sensor calibration chambers, and vacuum windows. In aerospace and vacuum science, it ensures leak-tight seals while maintaining low outgassing, and it withstands significant thermal cycling without delamination. This material is also used in shielding light-sensitive components during assembly and in forming multilayer gaskets in optical cleanrooms.
