FEP Copolymer Film is a chemically resistant fluoropolymer with exceptional dielectric strength, thermal stability, and weatherability, making it an indispensable material in high-performance environments. Produced through melt extrusion followed by calendaring, it forms a smooth, non-porous surface that resists UV degradation, oxidation, and most solvents. The film can be punched or layered into complex stacks, where it demonstrates remarkable electret behavior and high piezoelectric output when combined with ePTFE in ferroelectret transducers. This enables its use in smart wearables, energy-harvesting membranes, and aerospace sensors. Additional industrial roles include carbon fiber release films, protective barriers in electronics, and high-temperature linings in medical packaging. Thanks to its consistent mechanical integrity, even under prolonged exposure to heat and stress, FEP film is also used as a dielectric medium in capacitors and in cryogenic insulation systems. It continues to drive research into multifunctional materials that combine flexibility, electrical responsiveness, and longevity in harsh operational contexts.
