Nomex® T411 Polyaramid Film (Polymetaphenylene isophthalamide)

Nomex® T411 Polyaramid Film (Polymetaphenylene isophthalamide) provides an uncalendered aramid sheet for applications that benefit from a slightly bulkier, more conformable dielectric layer. Its lofted structure accepts impregnation readily, improves interlaminar bonding, and helps parts nest around radii, edges, and step-downs where smoother films can bridge or pucker. Motor, generator, and transformer designers specify T411 film for phase separators, slot liners with built-in cushioning, coil-end insulation pads, and creped laminates that must stay quiet in service. The material’s chemistry delivers the thermal endurance Nomex papers are known for, and the sheet handles well through slitting, die-cutting, and forming. In sensitive electrical builds and test rigs, T411 film helps control partial discharge, resist tear initiation, and preserve clearances after bake and cool-down. For production and R&D, it’s a versatile platform for resilient, halogen-free insulation where fit and bond quality matter as much as raw dielectric strength.
