Calcium Pellets is a product offered by Goodfellow within their range of metal pellets. Calcium has a relatively low density of 1.55g/cm3 and a low melting point of 842°C. With its reactive chemical properties, calcium has important metallurgical uses like removing oxygen, sulfur and other impurities from alloys. It also improves the hardness and strength of lead alloys. In addition, calcium pellets can be used in steelmaking to control the shape, size and distribution of oxide and sulfide inclusions. Goodfellow provides high-purity calcium pellets for research and industrial applications.
