    Product Summary of Nickel

One of four materials that along with iron, cobalt & gadolinium are ferromagnetic at room temperature. Although the use of nickel can be traced back to 3500 BC, it was not until 1751 that Axel Fredrik Cronstedt successfully classified it as a chemical element. It has excellent corrosion resistance in both air and water and tends to be used as a coating and as an alloying element in a number of important alloys.

    Characteristics of Nickel include:

    • Ferromagnetic
    • Good corrosion resistance
