Goodfellow's Tungsten/Rhenium Alloy Spooled Wire (W 74/Re26) is a wire composed of a tungsten-rhenium alloy. This alloy wire combines the high melting point, strength, and density of tungsten with the excellent high-temperature properties of rhenium. Applications of this refractory alloy wire include filaments, heating elements, and thermocouples which operate at temperatures exceeding 2000°C. Tungsten/rhenium alloy wire is also used in radiation shielding applications. This specialty wire product falls within Goodfellow's diverse range of high-performance metal alloy wires.
