Goodfellow's Metal Matrix Composite Aluminum/Copper Foils are an advanced material that combines an aluminum matrix with copper particulate reinforcements. This allows these foils to offer the light weight and corrosion resistance of aluminum with the strength and electrical conductivity of copper. These foils are available in 4 variations, with copper contents ranging from 10 to 40% by volume. The adjustable copper content allows for the tailoring of properties like density, strength and thermal expansion coefficient. These composite foils are used in applications like aerospace components, heat exchangers and electronic substrates, where high strength-to-weight and thermal conductivity are desired.
