Aluminum/Nickel Alloy Rod (Al98.5/Ni 1.5) is a rod product within Goodfellow's range of aluminum alloy materials. This nickel-doped aluminum alloy combines the light weight and corrosion resistance of aluminum with enhanced strength from the nickel. With a density around 2.7 g/cm3, this alloy is much lighter than steels, while having higher strength than pure aluminum. Common applications for Al/Ni alloy rods include aircraft and aerospace components, as well as parts needing high strength-to-weight ratios. The Al98.5/Ni1.5 composition provides an optimal balance of properties for these lightweight structural applications.
