Erbium Pellets

Erbium Pellets offered by Goodfellow are high purity metal formed into small cylindrical shapes. This rare earth metal has a silvery white appearance and is relatively soft, malleable, and ductile. With a high absorption cross section for neutrons, erbium has applications in nuclear control rods and as a neutron absorber. The high thermal neutron absorption ability also makes erbium useful for fission product monitoring and nuclear reactor burn-up determination. Erbium pellets from Goodfellow provide researchers and engineers with a convenient form of this rare earth metal for nuclear and other scientific applications.
