Vanadium Pellets

Vanadium Pellets are a form of pure vanadium metal available from Goodfellow's extensive range of metals in pellet form. Vanadium has a high tensile strength, with a yield strength of around 400 MPa. It also has good corrosion resistance and fatigue strength. Vanadium pellets can be used in cladding for nuclear reactor fuel rods, taking advantage of vanadium's low neutron absorption cross section. They also have applications as an alloying addition to improve the strength and corrosion resistance of steel. The high purity vanadium pellets from Goodfellow provide an ideal source material for research and specialist manufacturing applications.
