Tungsten/Rhenium Alloy Spooled Wire (W 95/Re 5) Wire is a high-performance alloy manufactured by Goodfellow within their range of spoolable wire products. The addition of 5% rhenium to tungsten increases ductility and impact strength. With excellent high-temperature strength and creep resistance, W 95/Re 5 Wire finds use in demanding applications like rocket nozzles, radiation shields, and electrical discharge machining electrodes. The alloy combines refractory metal properties with improved fabricability over pure tungsten.
