Tungsten/Copper Alloy Rod (W 72/Cu28)
Goodfellow's range of tungsten/copper alloy rods includes the W 72/Cu28 composition. This rod combines tungsten's high density and stiffness with copper's thermal and electrical conductivity. The alloy's hardness, strength, and wear resistance make it suitable for electrical contacts and high-temperature structural parts like heat sinks and rocket nozzles. At the same time, its thermal expansion coefficient closely matches common ceramics, enabling assemblies with reduced thermal stress. With properties balanced between its constituents, the W 72/Cu28 alloy expands the utility of tungsten and copper.
