Tenax UMS2526 Carbon Fiber is a high-modulus, ultra-high-strength polyacrylonitrile (PAN)-based fiber optimized for demanding structural applications in aerospace and defense. This grade offers exceptional strand tenacity exceeding 430 kg/mm² and a modulus of elasticity over 28 ton/mm², making it suitable for composites where maximum stiffness and minimal thermal expansion are critical. With a fiber diameter between 1 to 6 µm and density around 1.76 g/cm³, UMS2526 strikes a balance between mechanical performance and low weight. It is commonly used in satellite panels, rocket nose cones, and advanced stress-bearing elements in airframes and rotorcraft. These fibers are frequently embedded in epoxy and ceramic matrices to produce ultra-lightweight components that surpass steel in tensile strength while outperforming titanium in stiffness-to-weight ratio.
