Selenium Foil (Light Tight)

Goodfellow's selenium foil (light tight) is a thin, flexible foil form of the chemical element selenium. This opaque metallic material blocks visible light and infrared radiation. With a density of 4.79 g/cm3, selenium foil combines high electrical conductivity and photoconductivity. Applications of this light-blocking foil include fabrication of X-ray detectors and solar cells. Within Goodfellow's wide range of metals, alloys, ceramics and other materials, selenium foil delivers specialized optical and photoelectric properties.
