These acquisitions expand the Goodfellow Group’s portfolio to over 170,000 materials, backed by end-to-end services ranging from material supply and customisation to certification, fabrication, and full analytical testing.

Your role:

The Customer Service team works closely with all departments across the business, with its primary responsibilities being the processing and management of customer orders, delivering best in class service and after-sales support. The business provides a full language service to our French and German markets to promote business opportunities within those major sales markets. Working within the Sales department, the team also identifies and escalates new business opportunities within our existing customer base to relevant Account Managers for prospecting and follow-up. The Customer Service team is pivotal to the sales and operational performance of the business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Day-to-day customer interface for external customers and internal stakeholders
  • Processing of orders for the French and German markets, including associated administration and monitoring of their progress to ensure fulfilment of customer requirements
  • Dealing with and responding to customer queries received from the French and German market by email and telephone
  • Managing customer complaints resolution by identifying and escalating key issues in a timely manner
  • Working in collaboration and liaising with internal departments to facilitate information flows across teams and with customers on a wide range of issues
  • Maintain and update sales and customer records on internal database
  • Through contact with customers, identify and qualify possible business opportunities and escalate them to the Sales team
  • Interact with the Finance team regarding payment, management of overdue invoices and customer accounting issues
  • Ensure the adherence to internal Sales processes and procedures is maintained and completed within a timely manner
