Goodfellow's Platinum/Iridium Alloy Foil (Light Tight) (Pt90/Ir10) is a platinum-iridium foil with a composition of 90% platinum and 10% iridium. This alloy combines platinum's stability and resistance to chemical attack with iridium's hardness and strength. The foil is light tight and has a high reflectivity, making it useful for scientific instruments and industrial applications needing a corrosion resistant, high reflectance surface. Within Goodfellow's range of precious metal foils, the Pt90/Ir10 alloy provides unique properties ideal for mirrors, optical filters, and other specialized components.
