Thoriated Tungsten Alloy Wire (W 99/Th 1) is a high-performance product offered by Goodfellow in their range of wires. With 6 variations, this wire provides a combination of high tensile strength, excellent ductility, and good electrical conductivity. The addition of thorium oxide particles enables these enhanced properties while maintaining the high-temperature capabilities of tungsten. Thoriated tungsten wires find uses in filaments, electrical contacts, thermocouples, and heating elements where durability at elevated temperatures is required. They are particularly well-suited to applications in aerospace, defense, and industrial power systems.
