Yttrium Foil (Light Tight)
Yttrium Foil is a thin light tight foil of pure yttrium metal produced by Goodfellow. This ultra-pure foil has a thickness range of 0.025mm to 0.075mm and comes in 14 variations. Impermeable to visible light and ultraviolet radiation, its key properties are the metal's stability in a vacuum and its resistance to oxidation. This foil is used in research applications like physics experiments with high-energy photons. It also enables optical instrument calibration for space telescopes.
