Ytterbium Disc

Ytterbium Disc from Goodfellow's range of foil products. This rare earth metal foil has a silvery lustre and is soft, malleable and ductile. With a high thermal and electrical conductivity, ytterbium foil is valued for its infrared transmission and low toxicity. Common applications include lasers, scintillators and phosphors. Ytterbium foil can also be used as a getter in vacuum tubes. Overall, this versatile foil has unique properties ideal for specialized optics and electronics.
