Platinum Classic Flat Bottomed Crucible with Pouring Lip (99.99% purity) combines the stable flat-bottomed geometry of the classic form with an integral pouring lip that allows controlled transfer of molten material from crucible to casting mould or receiving vessel. Available from OD 35 mm to OD 44 mm, it is sized for the fusion workflows central to XRF and ICP sample preparation, where fused lithium borate glass beads must be poured cleanly into a casting mould after fusion to produce a homogeneous disc for spectroscopic analysis. The pouring lip reduces material loss during transfer and supports cleaner bead formation, improving analytical throughput in high-volume XRF fusion laboratories. Manufactured from 99.99% pure platinum, it withstands repeated fusion cycles at temperatures exceeding 1000°C without degradation or contamination of the melt. Typical applications include XRF glass bead preparation for geological, mineral, ceramic, and industrial sample analysis, and any fusion workflow where controlled, directed pouring is required to improve sample yield and bead quality.
