Manganese Pellets (99.99% purity) are a high-purity granular form of manganese supplied in the 1–3 mm size range, available in quantities from 10 g to 2000 g to suit both laboratory-scale research and larger preparative applications. With a melting point of 1244°C, density of 7.4 g/cm³, body-centred cubic alpha-phase crystal structure at room temperature, and paramagnetic character, Goodfellow manganese pellets provide a well-characterised, high-purity metallic starting material in a particle form optimised for weighing, melting, and direct addition to melt and synthesis processes. The 1–3 mm pellet geometry balances packing density with surface area and handling convenience, reducing the oxidation exposure that finer powder grades carry while remaining suitable for melting and dissolution workflows. Typical applications include alloying additions for steelmaking and non-ferrous alloy development, synthesis of manganese-containing compounds for battery cathode research — including lithium manganese oxide and NMC cathode materials — and preparation of manganese sources for ceramic, optical, and magnetic materials synthesis. In research, high-purity manganese pellets are used as a traceable, composition-controlled feedstock for thin-film deposition target preparation, phase diagram studies, and fundamental investigations into manganese's magnetic and crystallographic behaviour.
