Aluminum/Gold Alloy Foil (Light Tight) (Al99.9/Au0.1) is a foil product within Goodfellow's range. This foil alloy combines the lightweight and corrosion resistance of aluminum with the ductility and electrical conductivity of gold. With only 0.1% gold content, the foil retains aluminum's reflective properties while gaining improved ductility for forming and workability. Potential applications include reflective coatings, food packaging, and electrical contacts or shielding. The Al99.9/Au0.1 alloy balances cost and performance as an advanced aluminum foil.
