Product Summary of Polycarbonate (PC)

This tough transparent amorphous thermoplastic material is primarily used in glazing applications, where it has better impact strength and lower weight than glass. However, it has poor scratch resistance, somewhat poor chemical resistance and is prone to environmental stress cracking.

Applications for polycarbonate include CDs, DVDs, Blu-ray discs, drinks bottles, drinking glasses, lab equipment, animal enclosures, lighting lenses, to name but a few.
