Platinum Flat Bottomed Crucible with Pouring Lip (99.99% purity) is a mid-to-large format fusion crucible combining the broad flat-based geometry with an integral pouring lip for controlled transfer of fused material. Available from OD 35 mm to OD 75 mm, it occupies the size range between the micro fusion formats and the largest flat-bottomed crucibles, covering the standard working volumes for XRF sample fusion in geological survey, mining assay, and industrial analytical laboratories. The flat base allows direct positioning on furnace plates across a range of furnace configurations, and the pouring lip supports consistent, directed melt transfer to casting moulds, reducing bead loss and improving throughput in high-volume fusion sequences. Manufactured from 99.99% pure platinum, it withstands sustained use at fusion temperatures above 1000°C with lithium borate fluxes without dimensional change or contamination. Goodfellow supplies these crucibles with full material certification and supports procurement documentation for regulated analytical environments.
