Terbium Foil

Goodfellow's terbium foil is a thin sheet of pure terbium metal. With a silvery white appearance, terbium foil is soft, malleable, and ductile. It has excellent thermal and electrical conductivity. Due to its magnetic properties, terbium foil finds use in magnetostrictive alloys and terfenol-D, which convert magnetic energy to kinetic energy. The foil is also utilized as a dopant in optical materials when luminescent properties are desired. As part of Goodfellow's expansive foil inventory, terbium foil enables research and development across scientific fields.
