Goodfellow's range of Aluminium/Magnesium/Silicon alloy wires offers 3 variations of this useful engineering material. The alloy combines the corrosion resistance and conductivity of aluminium with the strength and hardness of magnesium and silicon. With carefully controlled compositions, these wires achieve an optimal balance of strength, ductility and conductivity. AlMgSi alloy wires find widespread use in overhead power lines and as core wires in aluminium matrix composite conductors due to their combination of strength, hardness, and electrical conductivity.
